For over 25 years, our agency has been advising on nanny payroll issues and questions. For those who do not employ an accountant, it can be a confusing and time consuming process. For those who do use an accountant, it can be costly. Most questions we are asked in the months after placement involve tax related issues, so we’ve decided to offer a service to take these issues off of our clients’ minds.
Execu-Nannies now offers NannyRemit services to take care of your monthly nanny or caregiver tax remittances to Canada Revenue Agency as well as your T4 and T4A Summary at the end of the year plus a Record of Employment if necessary.
At a cost of $495 per year, or just over $40 per month, NannyRemit will..
- Calculate your CPP, EI and Federal/Provincial tax based on the salary confirmed
- Factor in Room and Board calculations if necessary
- Complete your WSIB registration, calculate and submit your premiums
- Update your remittance amounts if and when your nanny’s salary changes
- Issue a Record Of Employment if necessary
- Keep you updated on any changes to tax, WSIB or salary related information
If you are interested, in order to start your remittance services, we require the following..
- 12 post-dated cheques sent by mail or courier to our address. The first cheque should be dated the 15th of the month following the first month of employment, and each subsequent cheque will be dated for each 15th of the month
- Changing your Canada Revenue Agency payroll account to refer all monthly remittance forms to our address
- Updates on when your number of hours or salary to the employee changes
- Further information will be requested for T4 and T4A summaries at the end of the calendar year or for ROEs if necessary
